International Best Practices in Association Management

The CD is a practical tool for both association executives and leadership regarding best practices in strategic areas, such as: strategic planning, structure and governance, association staff, membership, association activities, finance, public relations, and advocacy. The CD was produced and published with financial support from The National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

'Women of Success' CD- fourth edition, 2005

Twenty women business associations representing eight countries- Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania and Turkey- nominated 71 of their members to share their success stories.

The CD was produced with funding from The National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

'Women of Success' CD- third edition, 2004

CIPE Romania decided to include on the CD project managers in international organizations whose projects had an impact on the development of the Romanian economic environment. This edition presented 54 stories of members in 23 Romanian women business associations and project managers in 7 international NGO’s.

The 2003 edition portrayed another 36 ladies, members in 18 Romanian women business associations.

The CD was produced with funding from USAID, as part of the CIPE/USAID project dedicated to strenghtening Romanian business association.

'Women of Success' CD- first edition, 2002

The CD was designed as a promotion tool for the women business association in Romania. The first edition gathered 36 stories coming from members in 20 Romanian women business associations.

The CD was produced with funding from USAID, as part of the CIPE/USAID project dedicated to strenghtening Romanian business associations.

Romanian Association Membership Program (RAMP) CD

The CD, developed as part of the Romanian Association Membership Program offers practical examples on issues like membership recruitment, membership retention and dues. The CD was produced in 2003, with funding from USAID, as part of the CIPE/USAID project dedicated to strenghtening Romanian business associations.

State of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Development in Romania between 1990 and 2002

The CD contains the second updated edition of the study conducted by Mark T. McCord in cooperation with the Ministry for SMEs and Cooperation. The study consists of two primary parts: 1) A statistical overview of the development of small and medium sized enterprises (including micro-enterprises) from 2001-2002 and 2) An analysis of the results of an opinion poll of entrepreneurs from Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, and Timisoara. The CD was produced in 2002, with funding from USAID, as part of the CIPE/USAID project dedicated to strenghtening Romanian business associations

CIPE Celebrates UN International Youth Day

In celebration of UN International Youth Day on August 12, 2010, CIPE has created a series of blog posts, photos, and videos about inspiring young people working to strengthen democracy around the world. These emerging leaders make sure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. In so doing, they uphold their responsibilities as citizens and help create positive change in their communities.






CIPE's 2010 International Youth Essay Contest is now closed.  Winners will be announced soon.

The three contest topics are: Democracy that delivers, Entrepreneurship and society, or Women and participation.  Winning articles will be published by CIPE and will receive a $1,000 honorarium. Read more
