Corina Dragomirescu


Corina Dragomirescu is Senior Consultant at the Advocacy Academy in Timisoara, where she coordinates public consultations and training programs. The national public consultations that she was responsible for  discussed issues like the tax on pollution for second-hand automobiles (2008), the uninominal vote system (2007), the Law on Employers’ Associations (2007),  the Law on the Romanian Intelligence Service (2006), the draft law concerning the interdiction of the former communist leaders and bureaucrats to occupy public positions in the administrative and governing structures (2006), the Law on Companies (2006), the Pharmacy Law (2005), and the necessity of having a lobby law (2005).

Corina Dragomirescu has also been associate lecturer for the Master Program organized by the West University and the Advocacy Academy, delivering courses for the sociology, political and economic sciences departments: “Advocacy- An Integrated System”, “Impact Analysis for a Draft Law”, “Drafting a Position Paper”. 

Her professional path includes positions such as business plan evaluator for the Alternative Micro Credits Program implemented by Cooperative Housing Foundation Romania (CHF);  consultant for CHF Bosnia Herzegovina; consultant, together with American’s Development Foundation, for drafting a strategic program requested by USAID-GRASP. She is also an evaluator for the European funding programs. Mrs. Dragomirescu has published works like “The Advocacy Campaign- A guide for Membership-Based Organizations”, “From Opacity to Transparency in the Decision Making Process”, and is co-author of “Civic Participation- A Guide for Public Consultations”. She has also been a trainer and advocacy consultant for the World Learning programs dedicated to Romanian associations and foundations.

Corina Dragomirescu is also a successful businesswoman: she is the founder and manager of a consulting firm, and the President of the Board  of CoRES Group. Mrs. Dragomirescu is the Vice president of the Timisoara Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, member of the Association of Business Women Timis and a Board member of the Confederation of Private Entrepreneurs Timis. 

Corina Dragomirescu has a BA in electronics and telecommunications from the Politechnic University Timisoara, and continued her education in  marketing, management and advocacy. She is accredited as CMC Consultant by International Council of Management Consulting Institutes.
