Ljubica Markovic

Ljubica Markovic has over 25 years experience working with scientific, educational, governmental and civil society organizations. She is currently serving as Secretary of the Science, Information and Education Committee of the Valjevo Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is responsible for the development of technological progress and innovation, as well as information systems in the Region.
In 2006, she became president of the "EVE"Association of Business Women for the areas of Kolubara, Macva and Podrinje. In addition, she represents the interests of enterprises in various civil society organizations` coalitions, networks and forums, while also representing the interests of business women. In her capacity, she has taken part in the definition and implementation of a number of projects funded by associations of business and women entepreneuship. Currently, Ms. Markovic is helping prepare the second Conference of Business Women in Serbia which will be held on january, 2010.
Mrs. Markovic was educated at Belgrade State University and holds an MSc in Political Sciences, as well as certificates in Small Business Developement and Management, Corporate Governance and Competitiveness, Financial Sustainability, Legal drafting, Networking. She has also participated in various training courses, programs and internships offered by organizations and institutions, such as USAID, TAM&BAS Programme, the University of Berkley and Brighton, UNDP, CIPE, etc.
