Narine Mailyan

Narine Mailyan has over 30 years’ experience working with scientific, governmental and civil society organizations. Since 2001, she has been serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Small and Medium Businesses (FSMB), a non-for-profit organization advocating for the development of the SME sector in Armenia, and is responsible for the development of FSMB’s Strategy, Programs and Projects.
In addition, she represents SME interests in various civil society organizations` coalitions, networks and forums. She has also taken part, as Project Director, in the implementation of a number of projects funded by the US Embassy and USAID.
Ms. Mailyan was educated at Yerevan State University and holds an MSc in Physics, as well as certificates in Small Business Development and Management, Corporate Governance and Competitiveness, Financial Sustainability, Legal Drafting, Advocacy, Coalition Building and Networking.
Additionally, she has participated in various training courses, programs and internships offered by organizations and institutions, such as USAID, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the European Education & Research Center, Regional Institute for Organization Management/CIPE. Last but not least, she has published articles in scientific periodicals, as well as in the mass media.
