Valerica Dragomir


Valerica Dragomir has a seven years experience in working for business associations. Since 2001, she has been an employee of the Employers’ Association of the Software Industry and Services (ANIS). In 2005, she became ANIS’s Executive Director, being responsible for the coordination of the organization’s projects. Her expertise include events management, membership and media relations, online communication management.

Some of the projects that Valerica Dragomir has been in charge for:

  • Defining and implementing the Promotion Strategy for the National Brand of the ICT Sector- “romaniaIT”, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Commerce and Liberal Professions, as well as other Romanian associations from the ICT sector.
  • Reorganizing “ANIS Business Club” in 2007
  • Coordination of the Romanian participation with national booth at the CeBIT Hanovra Fair, starting with 2005
  • Launching and coordination of the training program “1001 Specialists”, with support and funding from USAID/ CHF Romania
  • Launching and coordination of the annual National Fair of Software and Services- soft21.ro, starting with 2003
  • Coordination of the advocacy campaigns that ANIS became involved in, starting with 2003: Leasing for Software, Royalty for Software Imports, Zero Salary Tax for Software Developers, Sustaining the Romanian Software Exports.

Her collaboration with CIPE and USAID has started with the creation of the Tech 21 Coalition, when Romanian ICT sector got involved in advocacy projects. Together with the CIPE team , Valerica Dragomir has coordinated the International Outsourcing Conference in 2003 and 2004, a premiere in Romania.

She has also been a consultant for a World Bank Institute project dedicated to the business association from the ICT sector in Bosnia Herzegovina.

Valerica Dragomir has a BA in communication from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication Studies- Bucharest University.
