Vusala Garayeva is currently working as Network Coordinator for the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA), which she joined in 2008.
In this capacity, she handles, among others, the international representation of the organization and is in charge of the liaison with government officials. The focus of her activity is on strengthening the capacity of microfinance institutions and promoting effective collective action in the microfinance community.
She has conducted a number of needs assessment surveys and has contributed t the the implementation of various projects. Mrs. Garayeva also has experience in the field of Public Relations, having served as PR specialist in the context of USAID projects. She has also supported numerous small-scale projects focusing on organizing trainings and workshops, as well as the development of marketing materials. In 2006, she served as Field Editor under a USAID Survey project conducted all over Azerbaijan (Ganja –Gazakh region).
Ms. Garayeva graduated with honours from the Azerbaijan State University and has also held an appointment as a University professor.
